It’s time to take a break and do a driving tour!
One of my favorite memories when my children were little was driving them around to see the Christmas light displays. And although they are all grown up, I still love going!
We’re now deep into December, but there’s still time to get out and see the holiday lights, since most people keep them up until at least New Year’s day, and typically until the Orthodox Christmas on January 6.
So bundle up, hop in your car, and cruise the nearby neighborhoods where homeowners have decked out their front yards with holiday wonderlands and awesome sparkling displays!

Moorpark: Timberdale and Pinedale have an entire tract aka “Candy Cane Lane” where house after house is decorated. Lots of lights in one location.
Doone Street in Thousand Oaks has several homes with stunning Vegas-like displays.
